Integrated quantum optics and nanophotonics with defect centers in nano-diamonds

The main objective of this subproject is to develop dedicated optical structures, (like waveguides, nano fibers, photonic bandgap structures and resonators) in order to collect, enhance and use the photons created in fluorescing nano-diamonds and to realize integrated quantum optical and nanophotonic components. These components are essential for the applicability of non classical light in quantum optics experiments. We thus propose (1) the design and fabrication of integrated photonic structures, (2) the optimization of the coupling of fluorescence into photonic structures using nanopositioning of nano-diamonds and spectral fine tuning, and (3) the realization of multiphoton quantum optics experiments on integrated components.
