The Department of Physics is delighted that Prof. Dr. Thomas Schröder has accepted the W3-S-Professorship "Crystal Growth" at the Department of Physics of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The professorship is linked to the position of the director of the Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth (IKZ). Currently Prof. Schröder is Head of the Materials Research Department at the Leibniz-Institut für innovative Mikroelektronik (Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics) in Frankfurt (Oder) and Professor for Semiconductor Materials at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg.
