Anti-Muslim racism
refers to discrimination against people who are perceived as Muslims due to their actual or merely ascribed religious affiliation. In comparison to the terms Islamophobia or Islamophobia, the term anti-Muslim racism refers to the idea of Muslims as a homogeneous group that is assigned certain (usually negative) characteristics and classified as not belonging.
