Qiong Wang: Long-term Stability in Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells

Abstract

 

Inorganic perovskite has drawn great attention in recent years due to its superior thermal stability over organic-inorganic mixed lead halide perovskites. The efficiency of inorganic perovskite solar cells has increased to over 20%, closing the gap with organic-inorganic mixed halide perovskites. Yet the long-term stability in inorganic perovskite solar cells has not been properly investigated. In this talk, I will share some of the strategies that have been conducted in our group that shows great enhancement in device stability. The long-term maximum power point (MPP) tracking of our highly efficient inorganic perovskite solar cells is under study as well. In particular, MPP tracking at elevated temperatures needs to be studied. Our experiment shows that the replacement of spiro-OMeTAD is mandatory for achieving robust stability at elevated temperatures.
