Unilab - School Lab in Adlershof
The UniLab School Lab is an initiative of the Physics Didactics Group at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. It opens up new perspectives of scientific work for pupils, teachers and students and promotes pupils' interest in the natural sciences. In December 2003, the UniLab Pupils Laboratory began operations. This has created a practical field that is both close to schools and universities and is used by students and teachers to test new forms of teaching and learning. Further information can be found on the Unilab website.
Physics Student Society - PSG - from the 9th grade still free places
In the events of the Physics Student Society you can perform experiments yourself, learn about the theoretical framework of modern physics in lectures and get in touch with staff and professors of the Institute of Physics (e.g. the working group "Phenomenology of Elementary Particle Physics Beyond the Standard Model"). You will also gain insights into scientific institutions (e.g. the German Aerospace Center, DLR).
In the individual events we also want to deal with physical phenomena and ways of thinking, show ideas of modern research and take a closer look at possible career fields of physicists. You can find more information on the Physics Student Society website.
Girls' Day
Individual working groups and projects participate in Girls' Day. For more information, visit the Girls' Day website.
Public lectures
Colloquia are held regularly at the Institute of Physics. Although these are aimed at the specialist audience, they are also of interest to laypersons interested in physics. For further information, please refer to the website of the Institute of Physics.
