Institutskolloquium: Prof. Alexander Ling Euk Jin (National University of Singapore und Centre for Quantum Technologies, Singapore) spricht zum Thema "Building Entangled Photon Sources for Deployed Quantum Communications".
Abstract
Quantum Communications is a relatively mature research topic for laboratory environments. The next challenge is to investigate how to implement its concepts in real world situations. In particular, I discuss the ongoing effort at the Singapore Centre for Quantum Technologies to build the instruments capable of distributing entangled photons over large distances. I will discuss the evolution of our designs, and provide our perspective for both entanglement distribution over both fiber and free-space systems.
