Gender equality means promoting gender diversity, e.g. through language guidelines, advocating the recognition of gender and sexual diversity, dismantling assumptions of binary gender and the heteronormative concept of gender roles, promoting compatibility (especially in the case of care responsibilities) and raising awareness of diverse family constellations, but also promoting interface issues such as gender-equitable health promotion.
