Department Colloquium: Prof. Gerhard Rempe (Max-Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, Garching, Germany) talks about this topic:

From entanglement monogamy to polygamy in quantum networks

Abstract

Quantum networks distribute entanglement over a graph of nodes. Entanglement between two nodes has been demonstrated, but producing customized multi-qubit entanglement is an outstanding challenge. The talk describes a unique approach which produces a zoo of entanglement topologies pictured as chains, stars, rings, and trees. These open the door to a multi-node quantum internet, a measurement-based quantum computer and a one-way quantum repeater.

The Colloquium will be held in "hybrid" format, i.e., you can join the talk in the lecture hall or via zoom.
