Archive of the graduate students' reports, publications, and theses

As a member of the graduate school, you can access the archive of various doucments produced by other students, like their project descriptions, mid-term reports, publications, and theses. You can view the documents at https://www2.physik.hu-berlin.de/ssl/gk1504_doc/daten/. The login name and password are given in your personal hard copy of the memorandum of studies.

 

How to submit your mid-term report:

  • All fellows (regular fellows as well as associates) are obliged to write a mid-term report. The report should have a length of about 10 pages and should describe the progress you have made so far and the plans for the remainig time.
  • Please send the written report to your first and second supervisors for review and correct the report if necessary.
  • Submit the final version of the report to the GRK document server which is loacted at https://www2.physik.hu-berlin.de/ssl/gk1504_doc/login.php using your email address and with the password 'gk_file3'.
  • Please notify the GRK coordinator after your successful submission.

 

How to submit your final report:

  • All fellows (regular fellows as well as associates) are obliged to submit a final report once the PhD project is finished.
  • Create the report by using the pre-defined LaTeX template
  1. Download the template tar archive
  2. Unpack the archive: tar -xvf GK1504_CV-Wrapper.tar

  3. Edit only the file cv-template.tex

  4. To compile run pdflatex GK1504-Bericht_wrapper.tex. This will create the file GK1504-Bericht_wrapper.pdf.

  5. Check if the output Pdf file for the report is correct.

  • Rename the final version of cv-template.tex to cv-LastnameFirstname.tex and send it to the ccordinator of the research training group.
  • In parallel, send the report to your first supervisor for review.
