Herr Prof. Dr. Dmitry Budker (Institut für Physik, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz) spricht zum Thema "Testing fundamental symmetries and looking for dark matter with magnetic resonance and atomic spectroscopy".
Abstract
I will first describe a new approach to measuring parity violation in chiral molecules and then discuss various ways we are "setting traps" to detect non-gravitational effects of dark matter. This is an important endeavor because there appears to be ~5 times more dark matter in the Universe than normal matter.
