On Fields and Strings, and exploring their duality
Abstract
The duality between string theory in higher-dimensional spacetimes and quantum field theories on their boundaries will be introduced, highlighting how this framework can help reshaping our understanding of both quantum fields and gravity. Some current challenges will be discussed, forming the focus of the research group "Theoretical Particle Physics: Gauge Fields and Strings”.
Das Kolloquium wird "hybrid" durchgeführt, kann also sowohl im Hörsaal als auch über zoom verfolgt werden.
