fikret.gonca.aras (at)
Gonca received her PhD in Nanophotonics at Atatürk University where she worked on the fabrication and characterization of integrated optical components as waveguides and ring resonators. As a postdoc at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, she investigated nucleation mechanisms for large-area CVD-grown two-dimensional TMDs and their photophysical properties. In May 2024, she joined the PLD group to work on gold membranes for surface-sensitive Raman spectroscopy.

Lala Habibova AdMaLab
Lala obtained her Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering at the ASOIU in Azerbaijan. She then moved to Berlin to continue her studies with the Master of Science in Polymer Science at the joined program of the Humboldt University of Berlin, Free University of Berlin, Technical University of Berlin, and the University of Potsdam. She wrote her Master's thesis on the wetting of mica-graphene slit pores with heavy water in the group of Prof. Dr. Jürgen P. Rabe. While in PLD, Lala was a member of the AdMaLab program in INAM. She currently pursues a PhD in Physics

Giorgia Marcelli AdMaLab
Giorgia enrolled at Sapienza University of Rome to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Physics. She continued her studies in Berlin to pursue an M.Sc. (Physics) at Freie Universität. During the course of her master’s thesis, she worked within the group of Biological Physics  - lead by Prof. Dr. Carsten Beta (Potsdam Universität) - focusing on non linear dynamics and statistical physics of active matter. While in PLD, Giorgia was a member of the AdMaLab program in INAM. She currently pursues a PhD in Physics at the group of Prof. Dr. Felix Höfling at the Freie Universität of Berlin.

Kaan Yapıcı Erasmus+ Student Researcher
Kaan completed his Bachelor in Physics Engineering at the Istanbul Technical University in Turkey. He had a Erasmus+ stay at PLD. Currently, he is studying for his Master of Science in Nano Science and Nano Engineering at the Istanbul Technical University.
