Gonca received her PhD in Nanophotonics at Atatürk University where she worked on the fabrication and characterization of integrated optical components as waveguides and ring resonators. As a postdoc at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, she investigated nucleation mechanisms for large-area CVD-grown two-dimensional TMDs and their photophysical properties. In May 2024, she joined the PLD group to work on gold membranes for surface-sensitive Raman spectroscopy.
