Frau Prof. Mei Bai, PhD vom Institut für Kernphysik des Forschungszentrums Jülich spricht zum Thema "Funs and Challenges with Polarized Beams".
Abstract: Polarized beams have been playing an important role in our understanding of fundamental properties of matter. However, this only became possible after a long journey of many scientists and engineers dedicated research and development. This seminar would like to give the audience a glance of the development of high energy polarized beams, and present the funs and challenges that are involved. The current status of high energy polarized beams along with the potential application of high energy polarized beams in the hunting of new physics is also presented.
