Quantum Theory of Nanoparticle Plasmons:
Methodological Aspects
31.08. - 01.09.2016
In collaboration with the CRCs 787 and 910, the CRC 951 proudly organized the first NANOPLAS Workshop on methodological aspects of quantum theory of nanoparticle plasmons.
The workshop was motivated by the desire to achieve a deeper understanding of plasmons and hot plasmonic electrons from the point of view of many-body quantum mechanics. These fundamental questions about the quantum structure of plasmons are also highly relevant to a large volume of experimental work on hybrid quasiparticles and their control in photo-physics and photo-chemistry nowadays. Therefore, world-leading theoreticians were brought together to present their point of view in detailed talks of 60 to 90 minutes.
