Your Path into Teaching Physics
The combined Bachelor in Physics with a teaching focus is aimed at all those who wish to teach Physics at integrated secondary schools or grammar schools. You study Physics either as a major or as a minor – always in combination with another school-relevant subject. Program Structure

Major Variant: 113 credit points, of which 97 CP in subject-specific and subject-didactic modules and 16 CP in educational sciences and language education.

Minor Variant: 67 credit points, of which 57 CP in the compulsory area and 10 CP in the elective area.
Knowledge and Competencies
In this program, you acquire solid, applicable knowledge in Physics and become familiar with the working and research methods of Physics. You train in the safe handling of experiments and typical school equipment, learn the process of knowledge acquisition (Nature of Science), and understand the societal significance of physical research.
Subject Didactics and Practice
Subject-didactic content prepares you to convey complex physical topics understandably. Initial teaching experience is gained during practical phases, where you plan and design teaching and learning processes.
Digital and Methodical Skills
The program enables you to use modern digital tools in Physics teaching and further develop your methodological and communication skills.
Perspective
With the Bachelor’s degree, you are well qualified for the teaching-focused Master’s program in Physics – and thus ready for the next step in your professional future as a teacher.
