Bachelor of Science
The physics mono-bachelor course is a single-subject bachelor, meaning that no second subject is studied alongside it. It comprises the compulsory physics area (128 credits) as well as the subject-related compulsory elective area (42 credits) and the interdisciplinary compulsory elective area (10 credits).
The compulsory area covers the theoretical and experimental foundations of physics. The subject-related compulsory elective area allows students to specialize according to the department's research areas. The interdisciplinary compulsory elective area offers the opportunity to take courses from other faculties.
The program aims to equip students with the skills to analyze physical problems and to independently develop creative and unconventional solutions. A completed bachelor’s degree opens the way to pursuing a master’s program, which provides deeper insight into current research and completes the academic training in physics. A degree in physics qualifies graduates for jobs which require problem-solving skills, offering a wide range in research, science and innovation.
